‘Hot Gran’ reveals 3-minute secret behind her youthful looks

1 month ago 21

Gina Stewart, 49, dubbed the “World’s Hottest Gran” isn’t shy when it comes to showing off her youthful physique.

The Queensland grandmother has amassed a cult following over her racy bikini snaps which she regularly posts to Instagram and now she’s revealed the three minute “secret” behind her ageless looks.

The mother-of-four and grandmother-of-one revealed that she endures temperatures of -110C to “rejuvenate” her body.

The hyper-cooling remedy is known as cryotherapy and is used for muscle fatigue, muscle repair, injury treatment plus general skin revival.

The treatment involves enveloping the body or a localised area in nitrogen mist for three minutes and because a person’s body works overtime to maintain its core temperature, it burns hundreds of calories per session – influencing the metabolism long-term.

“Cryotherapy is my number one go-to therapy. I firmly believe it is the reason why I feel and look refreshed. It’s my fountain of youth,” Ms Stewart told news.com.au.

“I have been doing cryotherapy for a while and will keep it up as long as possible.”

She said the $50 treatment is what keeps her looking youthful, adding that she “freezes myself to -110C for three minutes a session”.

The grandmother claimed it is “amazing” for skin collagen and health, adding it burns up to 800 calories per session.

“I have been doing it for a year now and have seen amazing results. I do it two times a week,” she said.

“The intense cold also releases dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin, and endorphins which are the quartet of chemicals responsible for your happiness.”

Ms Stewart said she initially wanted to try the treatment because she suffers from high anxiety.

“I heard that it helped with anxiety. Then when I heard about all the other benefits I was convinced I should give it a try. I also researched that Mark Wahlberg receives a lot of benefits.”

To help cope with the freezing conditions, Ms Stewart said she tries to take her mind elsewhere.

And while she is open to trying new and unusual beauty treatments to maintain her youthful looks, the grandmother said she avoids Botox.

“I have bad anxiety – anything to do with needles – so I keep well clear,” she said.

When it comes to her diet, the Maxim Hot 100 Model, who has just started her own Instagram health page, opts for protein-rich foods and avoids alcohol.

Included in her daily skincare routine is rose hip oil, which she said is her “secret weapon”.

Ms Stewart first shot to fame in 2018 after posting a series of sexy bikini snaps – but in 2019 the model was “shadow banned” by Instagram for 10 month

“My images have been taken down at the rate of one per month, this would automatically place me in another ban/account restriction,” she told news.com.au at the time.

In an Instagram post from last year, alongside a screenshot of a ban message, Ms Stewart wrote: “What’s the world coming to when a glamorous post gets banned and then automatically registers me with another shadow ban.

“Was it because my hips are positioned suggestively Instagram? Or is it my facial expression Instagram?”

One of the images blocked on November 13 shows the model wrapping her body in a white sheet, exposing her leg and arm.

The 49-year-old Maxim US/AUS world finalist told news.com.au she felt her content was “glamorous” and showed no more than what you would see at the beach.

“I feel honestly that there is nothing that is ban worthy,” Ms Stewart explained.
